Mister Bentley, the much-loved English bulldog with a large online following, has passed away.
Known for his helicopter trips and adventures around Vancouver, Mister Bentley gained hundreds of thousands of followers across multiple social media platforms, managed by his owner, Alycia Foy and Foy's partner, Bradley Friesen.
On July 1, 2025, it was announced
"The post we’ve never wanted to have to make, but knew was coming. Sadly, we had to let Bentley go yesterday," reads a post on social media.
They go on to share memories of Bentley.
"I’ll never forget little things he did, like his love of sliding down the grassy hill at Spanish Banks. The first slide, a couple people would notice and nudge their friends for his second slide. By his third slide, the entire park would be watching, laughing and cheering him on," reads the post.
The couple adds that they hope he knew how much he meant to people.
"When I was able to compose myself, I made sure to thank him for all of you, for the joy and happiness he brought thousands of people, many of whom he’s never met, from all over the world," reads the post.
"I really hope he in some way understood that."
Thousands have responded to the announcement, including pilots, pet owners and celebrities.
"The world won’t be the same without you, Mr Bentley," wrote Hillary Swank in the comments.
"I am so sorry to hear this. He was such a special baby and I loved all the time I was able to spend with him," wrote Lili Reinhart.
"Rest easy, Mr Bentley," wrote Pal Nicklen.
