The Sea to Sky Gondola celebrated its one-millionth visitor on Monday. General manager Kirby Brown (left to right), David Greenfield, Michael Hutchison and Trevor Dunn present Carolynn Moon, the millionth visitor, with a gift package including annual passes. 鈥淲e take great pride in hosting guests from around the world and making it easy for them to experience the natural beauty of the West Coast,鈥� said Brown in a press release. 鈥淲e wouldn鈥檛 have been able to reach this milestone number of visits without the continued support from our partners, the Squamish First Nation along with the District of Squamish, Tourism Squamish and the local community.鈥� Winter programming at the Sea to Sky Gondola includes snowshoeing, tubing, ski touring, headlamp hikes and local cuisine in the Summit Lodge. 鈥淭he gondola has made it possible to experience Squamish through views and terrain that only expert mountaineers have accessed in the past,鈥� said Mayor Patricia Heintzman. 鈥淭he gondola has been transformative for our community, and this milestone is a testament to the incredible guest experience the team delivers every day.鈥� The gondola opened in the spring of 2014.
