It has been a heady spring for a Squamish entrepreneur.
听First, Gillespie鈥檚 Fine Spirits owner Kelly Woods was nominated for the 2019 R小蓝视频 Canadian Woman of Influence Award.
"I was quite surprised when I received the nomination in March 鈥� and thrilled," said Woods in a news release. "As a businesswoman, you plod along, focused on the task at hand, making things work and trying to grow your business. When someone nominates you for something this prestigious and you take a step back, you think, 鈥楬oly...听 I am kind of killing it!鈥欌��
Next, the company's Sin Gin won the silver medal at the San Francisco International Spirits Competition.

This is a huge cherry on top of our production expansion. This award validates all the hard work we鈥檝e put into the distillery over the past few years. It鈥檚 so hard to choose one gin over another these days, the competition is fierce. We are thrilled.鈥�
Sin Gin has been in production in Squamish since 2013 and it is made with 100 per cent 小蓝视频 grown grain, glacier-fed water, and local botanicals wherever possible, according to Woods.
