Next Tuesday is Canada Day, the day when we all get to celebrate what it means to be Canadian. And given the global events of the past year, it could be our most patriotic one yet.
So, where can you celebrate this July 1? The 小蓝视频 has put together a list of events happening across town to fill your cup up.

Sk滩wx滩wú7mesh Squamish Together
Downtown Squamish is set to come alive with the third annual
Hosted by the Downtown Squamish Business Improvement Association, the event is a community celebration which is rooted in inclusion, connection and culture.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Junction Park and along Cleveland Ave. from Victoria Street to Main Street.
“Sk滩wx滩wú7mesh Squamish Together is a celebration of who we are, all of us,” DSBIA executive director Kerry Neil said in a press release.
“Our stories, our cultures, our creativity. It’s about making space for everyone and recognizing that community is strongest when it reflects all of its voices.”
The free outdoor event invites residents and visitors to experience a day filled with live music, food, cultural performances, family activities and the return of the X瘫ex瘫e7énak瘫 Creators Together Market, which is described as a “vibrant showcase of local creators, artisans and community-minded organizations.”
The event’s stage will feature a dynamic lineup of performers that reflects the spirit and diversity of Squamish, including:
鈼� The Welhtima Kexwusem song and dance group from Sk滩wx滩wú7mesh Úxwumixw
鈼� Local favourites Bluesberry Jam and Marc Charron
鈼� High-energy beats from DJ Praiz
A number of food trucks will also be on site, as well as the Downtown Squamish Craft Beverage Garden for those who are 19 and older.
Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, bus, or roll to the event, and a bike valet will be provided (bring your own lock), and accessible parking is available on the south side of Winnipeg Street and at Stan Clarke Park across from Municipal Hall.
Britannia Mine Museum
Head to the and celebrate Canada Day mining style.
Local folk and rock duo Coldwater Road will be putting on a show at the museum for three 30-minute sets between 12 and 2:30 p.m outside of the historic Mill No. 3 building.
But the fun doesn't stop there!
“We have an array of entertaining games lined up around the Mill No. 3 for everyone to enjoy,” reads the Britannia Mine Museum website.
“Test your aim and precision with classics like Cornhole, Drill Bit Ring Toss, and Bottle Ring Toss. Feel the festive spirit as you dance around the Maypole, and let the air fill with joyous laughter with our delightful bubble stations.”
“Whether you're tapping your feet to the music, engaging in friendly competition with the games, or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, there's something for everyone to revel in on this special Canada Day celebration.”
The festive events are included with the cost of museum admission.
To get to and from events, 小蓝视频 Transit is offering free transportation on Canada Day.
“Buses will be running on a Sunday schedule on Canada Day. Service is free on all statutory holidays in Squamish,” reads a 小蓝视频 Transit press release.
