The Squamish Axemen posted a big home win at Don Ross Middle School鈥檚 field on Saturday when they hosted Scribes RFC from Vancouver in 小蓝视频 Rugby Union play.
The team held the visitors in its own end for much of the first half and rang up four tries by the break, including a long run by Blake Mahovic, who was named the team鈥檚 man of the match.
The second half was more even, as the Scribes hit the scoresheet, but Ricky Jackson-Lewis found a hole in the Scribe defence to restore the margin and give the locals a 29-7 win.
The win followed a home 31-5 loss the previous week to Kats RFC, with the Axemen coming close to scoring a number of times but only racking up one try.聽
