The regular season is over for the Squamish Eagles juvenile hockey club but a home playoff game looms for Saturday (Feb. 7).
Squamish concluded the regular season with a 6-5 loss on Jan. 22 and then posted a 4-4 tie on Jan. 24. The two games set the Eagles’ final record at 11 wins, five losses and one tie.
Forwards Terry Clark and Brendan Hopkins are the Eagles’ hottest players heading into the post-season, with six and four points respectively in Squamish’s final two games.
The President Series sees Squamish square off against North Vancouver, Cloverdale, Surrey and Port Moody in the next two weeks. The Eagles host Cloverdale on Saturday and Port Moody on Feb. 14, with both games starting at 7 p.m. They hit the road to take on Surrey on Feb. 10 and Port Moody on Feb. 15. Squamish also squared off against North Vancouver on Tuesday (Feb. 3) but results were not available at press time.
