NCCP triathlon course coming to Squamish

Squamish Titans athletic club looking to boost local coaches' skill levels

Triathlon 小蓝视频 is coming to Squamish and looking for a few good men and women to take their National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Community Sport course.

The clinic is the first step in coach certification. It is held over two days and encompasses everything from sprint to long distance training. Three primary areas of study are covered - safety, ethics and liability; technical introduction to all three sports; and annual program planning.

"We are really looking to increase the skill level of the coaches we have on our board and co-ordinating the range of training sessions we offer," said Tim Moore of the Squamish Titans athletic club.

The Squamish course takes place on March 31 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and April 1 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Sandman Hotel. Participants must be enrolled by March 28 at noon and the cost to attend the course is $125.
